Meet Crowdmii.com – Now Anyone Can Invest in Israeli Innovation

“In proportion to its population, Israel has the largest number of start-up companies in the world. In absolute terms, Israel has the largest number of startup companies than any other country in the world, except the US (3,500 companies mostly in hi-tech)” – Jewish Federation.

So there’s no surprise that OurCrowd, the investment group started by Jon Medved is doing so well. With the proven success of Israeli startup exists, and general support of Israeli entrepreneurs from various groups worldwide, OurCrowd is well timed and well positioned. I love OurCrowd’s business model and what they stand for.

However, there there is one large missing piece in OurCrowd’s business model – it is not available to most people and companies. OurCrowd screens through hundreds of startup applications each month and only accept a small percentage of them. They screen out projects that are profitable and worthy, but aren’t profitable enough to be an OurCrowd company.

In addition, only accredited, qualified investors can invest in OurCrowd companies. That leaves out 80% of the market who don’t qualify but still want to invest in Israeli innovation. It leaves out young people that have not yet amassed a net worth to become a qualified investor. So many people in the Jewish and Evangelical Christian communities want to support Israeli startups, not jut accredited investors.

That is why I was so excited to hear about Crowdmii.com (Crowd-mii: Made In Israel) filling up that gap. A well backed crowd funding platform (by the owners of the famous Fox chain stores), which is focused on Israeli projects and startups that anyone can invest in. It’s the Kickstarter for Israel – anyone can invest and continue to support innovation of the Startup Nation.

“We aspire to bring this tiding to the Startup Nation, to those that support it from afar and to those entrepreneurs that make it possible.”
– Yuval Martin, CEO

“Crowdmii’s is seeking to build an investment community which will comprise of individuals with strong emotional bonds to the State of Israel, such as members of Jewish and Christian evangelist groups around the world. Prior to its launch, crowdmii signed collaboration agreements with Christian evangelist communities extending to hundreds of thousands of members that aspire to take part and contribute to the Startup Nation”
From a recent press release from the Wall Street Journal about Crowdmii.
